Cambridge Hebrew Women’s Aid Society Records
The Cambridge Hebrew Ladies Educational Society was first formed in 1898 for the purpose of teaching the Hebrew language to Jewish children. The society was renamed the Cambridge Hebrew Women's Aid Society in 1914, and reorganized to include a broad range of philanthropic causes, including the care of tubercular patients and provision of Passover food to the needy. The collection contains bound ledgers of meeting minutes from 1914-1969.
Celia and Mauricio Dulfano Papers
This collection contains personal documents belonging to Celia and Mauricio Dulfano, a Jewish scholarly couple who emigrated from Argentina to Israel and later to the United States. The collection consists primarily of official documents such as government-issued identity cards and academic certificates that detail their migratory life between the three countries as well as their professional success in the fields of social work and pulmonary medicine, respectively.
Central Jewish Organization (Boston, Mass.) Records
The Central Jewish Organization (previously known as the Central Jewish Committee) was founded in 1909 in Boston, Massachusetts and was mainly concerned with the welfare of Jewish prisoners and their family. This collection contains a cash book recording the organization's income and expenses from 1913-1916.
Charles Follen Adams Papers
Charles Follen Adams was born in 1842 and was known for his dialectic poems. This collection includes an excerpt from "Leedle Yawcob Strauss" (1876) dated 1882 and signed, as well as a reprint of a photogravure signed by Adams.
Chebra Gemilath Chesed (Boston, Mass.).
This collection contains the minutes in English, of the society for the years 1853 to 1869, describing its activities, finances, and giving information about the membership.
Chevra Kadisha Gamilath Chesed Shel Emeth (Fall River, Mass.) Papers
This collection consists of the constitution and by-laws of the Society, written in Hebrew, as well as lists of members, purchase agreements for graves, and a list of yahrzeits, also in Hebrew. The book also contains the accounts of the Society, written in Yiddish.
